What this policy covers
This policy describes how System Current handles information collected through systemcurrent.com. It covers the public website, the enquiry forms, the free tools and the Client Hub sign-in area.
It does not describe how information is handled inside a client’s own systems. Where System Currentworks on a client’s website, CRM or internal tools under a separate agreement, that agreement governs the handling of their data.
Information you send us
The website has three forms, and each sends its contents to us by email:
- Project enquiry form (on the Start a Project page). Collects your name and email address, which are required, and optionally your website address and a description of what you would like to improve.
- Free website review form. Collects a website address and an email address.
- Audit intake form. Used only after an audit is purchased. Collects business and contact details you choose to provide, such as business name, contact name, email address, phone number, location, website address, Google Business Profile link and notes about your current online presence, together with a reference to the related payment.
Form submissions are delivered to a System Current email inbox using Resend, an email delivery provider. The email is set to reply to the address you supplied so we can respond to you. We use what you send to reply to your enquiry and to scope any work you ask us about.
Each form includes a hidden field intended to catch automated spam submissions. If it is filled in, the submission is discarded.
How we record where an enquiry came from
When you first arrive on the site, your browser stores a small record in that browser’s session storage (first-party, and cleared when you close the tab). That record contains exactly three things:
- The path of the first page you landed on, such as /vancouver-web-design. The query string is not stored.
- If you arrived from another website, that site’s address and path only, such as https://www.google.com/search. Any query string or fragment on the referring address — which can include the terms you searched for — is discarded and never stored or sent.
- Five named campaign parameters, if they were present in the link you followed: utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content and utm_term.
No other query parameter is read, stored or transmitted. If the link you followed carried additional parameters — click identifiers, session tokens or anything else appended by a third party — they are ignored.
If you then submit the project enquiry form, that record and the path of the page you submitted from are included in the notification email, so we can tell which page or campaign led to your enquiry. It contains no name, email address or other identifying information beyond what you type into the form yourself. If your browser blocks or clears session storage, the fields are simply empty and the form still works.
Analytics
This site uses the following analytics services:
- Google Analytics 4.Records page views and a small number of interaction events, such as starting or submitting the enquiry form, clicking a primary call to action, and running one of the free tools. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser. Google’s handling of this data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
- Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights. Record aggregate page-view and page-performance measurements. See the Vercel Privacy Policy.
The interaction events we record are counts of actions, not recordings of what you type. Form field contents are never sent to an analytics service. If analytics is blocked by your browser or an extension, the site continues to work normally and enquiries still send.
The free tools
The website and enquiry checker takes a website address that you enter, requests that page and reports what it can observe. The address you enter is used to perform the check and is not stored by us. To limit automated abuse, the number of recent requests from an IP address is counted temporarily in server memory; this is not written to a database and does not persist.
The automation ROI calculator runs entirely in your browser. The figures you enter are not sent to us.
The Client Hub
The Client Hub is the signed-in area for existing clients. Accounts and sign-in are handled using Supabase, which sets cookies in your browser to keep you signed in. The Hub stores the account and project information needed to operate the service for that client, such as the requests they submit and the status of work in progress.
Where a client has a paid plan, payments and billing are handled by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe’s own pages and are not collected or stored by System Current.
The Client Hub and admin areas are excluded from search engine indexing.
Hosting and technical logs
This website is hosted on Vercel. As with any web host, requests to the site generate technical logs that can include your IP address, the page requested, the time of the request and your browser’s user-agent string. These are part of operating and securing the service.
